Which requirements do I have to meet?
To become a client of the Tafel, you need a client card. This is only issued to people who meet certain requirements.

Who is eligible
- ALG I recipients
- ALG II recipients
- Sozialhilfe (social assistance) recipients
- Pensioners
- People receiving Grundsicherung (basic income support)
- People receiving Wohngeld (housing benefit)
- People with other low income
- People in particular hardship (e.g. debt)
- Asylum seekers
- Homeless people
When and where do I get the client card?
When you apply, please bring the following proof:
- a valid identity card
- current proof of income or pension notices
Issuing
Distribution day Thursday, 1.00–4.30 pm · Office, Wipperfürther Str. 145
On presenting your client card and identity card, you will receive your food on the distribution day.
Income includes:
- ALG I and ALG II
- payments from the Jobcenter
- pensions
- rental and interest income
- net employment income
- Grundsicherung (basic income support) and Wohngeld (housing benefit)
- Kindergeld (child benefit) and maintenance
- asylum seeker benefits
Pflegegeld (care allowance) is excluded. Please state all income; your income must not exceed the amounts given under any circumstances.
